In early childhood, there is a large gap between early childhood teachers and the use of technology in the classroom. “Educators in 2014 had less positive attitudes toward the value of technology in early childhood education compared to 2012 educators”(Blackwell & Robb, 2015). This is because the lack of technology in previous years was not heavily introduced to ECE providers because of business funds, accessibility to tech tools, and educators did not think technology created critical thinking skills. To add, some providers may not have been technology savvy to use these devices because of the lack of professional development support. Here at Knowledge Giver, we want to become the bridgers in this gap. This course is user-friendly and the trainer for this course, Jocelyn D Jones, has a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood and a specialization in teaching adult learners of all ages and walks of life. She has taught and tutored early childhood teacher from ages 26-60 years old.  These courses are highly recommended for beginners in early childhood and for those in early childhood who are beginners in using technology in the classroom and for their own academic pursuits.

The course is designed to correlate with the 6 Competency Goals and 13 Functional Areas designed by the Council for Professional Recognition. Topic such as health & safety, social-emotional development, ethnocentrisms, cultural biases, early childhood education, learning through play and other trendy research-based topics will be discussed.

Here at Knowledge Giver, we are ecstatic and elated with the connections we have with the CDA Council. Being connected to CDA Council is indeed an honor and pleasure serving under an extraordinary organization that has contribute largely in the Early Childhood and Education Field for over 30 years.  In the near future, Knowledge Giver will offer courses for the National Early Childhood Program Accreditation (NECPA), a national accreditation organization  for early childhood family providers, center teachers, and childcare centers to obtain  an accreditation in providing high quality education.”The NECPA has a heritage of supporting the profession of early care and education by encouraging the availability of high quality, affordable child care and preschool programs for children, families and communities” (National Early Childhood Program Accreditation, n.d.).

In the same light,  Knowledge Giver parallels with the same principles of the CDA Council and NECPA with deep rooted beliefs in educating and sharing knowledge with other early childhood providers and professional.  We understand how powerful it is to be knowledgeable and when receiving knowledge we all have a responsibility to empower others.  This is our mandate as we educate the educator at Knowledge Giver.  We have the Power to Empower. Share Knowledge.
